I'm William Panzer. I've been practicing criminal defense for more than 25 years. I specialize in defending medical cannabis patients, cannabis users, producers and suppliers. I also practice general criminal law.

For over 25 years, William Panzer has been an attorney in the Bay Area. Bill Panzer specializes in cannabis defense.  As a co-author of California's Prop 215, "The Compassionate Use Act of 1996", the nation's first law legalizing cannabis for medical purpsoes, William Panzer has successfully represented patients, cultivators, doctors, and dispensaries throughout Califronia in State and Federal Court, U.S. Tax Court, and administrative hearings at botht the trial and appellate level. William Panzer has lectured at numerous legal and related seminars on cannabis law and related issues.  He has regulary appeared on radio and television discussing cannabis law and reform.    He is on the Board of Directors for both National NORML and California NORML, as well as a member of the ASA Advisory Board.  A member of the NORML Legal Committee for over 20 years, William Panzer is a winner of NORML's "Al Horn Award", a two time winner of the Sonoma Alliance for Medical Marijuana's "Compassion in Action Award", as well as a former High Times "Freedom FIghter of the Month". William Panzer is also an accomplished musician who's band "Stonetrout" has performed at many cannabis reform benefits and events. About NORML NORML stands for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. It is a non-profit organization that promotes the legal use of medical and recreational marijuana for responsible adults. NORML believes in the idea that adults should nt be penalized by law for using cannabis.  The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws also believes in the principle that there should be a market for marijuana and that it should be bought and sold freely in the private sector. In NORML's eyes, the government should permit adults to cultivate marijuana for their own use.
